Founder’s Message.
Hi! I’m Shamla.
❏ The Founder.
The founder of PurpleThreads Adaptive, Shamla Ramasamy, was a caregiver for her mom who was in her last stages of cancer a few years ago. Her personal experience with the challenges of finding clothing that her mom could wear comfortably and independently inspired her to create and rebrand PurpleThreads Adaptive. Shamla’s mission is to make fashion inclusive for anyone who struggles with the daily task of dressing themselves, regardless of age, by creating clothing that is both stylish and functional for individuals with diverse abilities. Her advocacy has helped raise awareness about the importance of adaptive fashion and its impact on people's lives.
Shamla is also a Reiki master who provides universal energy healing for her clients. She runs The Healing Potters which offers Reiki infused earthen clay pots for your home cooking and drinking needs that promotes healing and general wellbeing.
